at a lot of different types of accounts. The agency has two multi-state
accounts. W. J. Phillips is the oldest family owned and operated
Auto-Owners agency in the USA.
Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Company - Represented since 1979.
Westfield Insurance Company - Represented since 1991. The agency has almost a 50/50 split of
commercial and personal lines with Westfield.
Progressive
Casualty - W.J. Phillips Inc., uses Progressive, the third
largest insurer in the country, for Personal Autos, Commercial
Auto, Motorcycles, Snowmobiles, ATVs, Boats and Personal Watercraft
(Jet Skis…), Motorhomes and Campers.
Great Lakes Casualty - Represented since 1997. This
company is owned by 101 independent insurance agencies across

Fund of Michigan - The largest workmen's compensation
carrier in the state of Michigan.
Titan
- Represented since 1995. W. J. Phillips Inc., uses Titan for
hard to place automobile accounts.
