The W. J. Phillips Team

Stephen R. Phillips is the sole stockholder and has held the title of president since 1983.

Stephen attended University of Michigan, Flint, while also working in the agency during the early 80’s. Stephen obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) degree in 1993. He is past chairman of the speaker bureau (93-94) and past president (92-93) for the Independent Insurance Agents of Genesee Counties Local Association.  He was the 1997 recipient of the MAIA Capitol Award for work he did during his board term on  the MAIA legislative committee.

Robert Darnton graduated from Albion College in 1969 with a Bachelors Degree. In 1981 he started his insurance career. He has been associated with W.J. Phillips Since 1990.

Deborah Sipes Personal Lines Customer Service has been with the agency
since 2006. She recently obtained her insurance license and is pursuing
her CISR designation.

Daniel J. O’Dea attended Central Michigan University accumulating an associates equivalency degree in marketing. In April of 1999 Daniel obtained his Property and Casualty license and was appointed with a direct writer as a sales and service agent in Flint, Michigan. Recently, Daniel took a position in commercial sales with W.J. Phillips, combining his personal lines experience with new opportunities.

Chris Mosholder, Personal Lines Supervisor & Commercial Lines Customer Service has been with the agency since 1986. Again, a valuable asset to the agency. Likewise in 1994 she obtained her CISR degree.  Chris has been a licensed agent since 1989.

The W. J. Phillips Agency displays a shining example of the term “team effort.”
